It's Thursday evening and Class 5W are sitting quietly in the dining room sipping their hot chocolate before going to bed. The children are also reporting on any "Dorset Diamonds" they received today. It's a lovely occasion for celebrating successes and remembering the day's achievements. Despite a rainy morning we've had a great day in and around the town and, later on, on Brownsea Island where we became smugglers for the afternoon, tracking down some treasure by map-reading our way round the smugglers' trail. We also all saw red squirrels! We got some lovely comments from people we met today, who commented on our cheerfulness, politeness and good behaviour. This evening we had our last visit to the beach before coming back to start to pack.
It's been another great day for 5W who have been positive, interested and thoughtful - and, at the same time, had a really enjoyable day and learnt a lot!
We have all had a lovely week, but we are still looking forward to seeing you all on The Green tomorrow. We are still aiming to be back at 4.30 - but watch this blog for any last minute updates.

ReplyDeleteWonderful that you had a great Thursday despite all the rain. It really makes us feel proud of 5W with your good behaviour and eagerness. We are all really excited to see you tomorrow on the Green.
Karim, I am waiting for you to be back home safely to light up my days again. Miss you so much. Hope you don't forget anything while you are packing, especially your glasses since I didn't see you wearing them in the Wednesday photos!
A big hug for now....
Dreaming of seeing you tomorrow.
Hello Mils,
ReplyDeleteGlad you’re coming home today, it has been really boring without you at home. I slept in your room on Wednesday night because Armstrong was nosily gnawing on his cage in another attempt to escape.
Hope you bought me a present! Samay :@)
Glad you are coming home ,see you 5w.
